Modular Layout
The Modular Division of the Indiana Large Scale Railroaders club is the group responsible for building and displaying the club's Gauge 1 ("G Scale") modular layout. Their first meeting was April 3, 2004. Jeff Carter built sample modules and showed them at the April 2, 2005 ILSR annual dinner. Our electronic guru, Andy Chester, came up with a common plug design and construction specifications were drawn up. Several members (listed below) built modules and we were under way.
Our modular layout consists of some modules which are built and owned by individual members, and some are club owned and built. Placement of the track and wiring must be, obviously, regulated, but the landscape themes are left to the member building the module. As noted in the picture above, show goers find the layout fascinating.
